I am beginning to understand...
My time is not meant to be spent on,
People who do not know what I am doing;
People who do not know why I am doing;
People who do not know how much I am doing...
Just to see that they are happy.
It is not because they do not know.
It is because they do not make an effort to know.

People who see what I am doing;
People who see why I am doing;

Just Not Long Ago.
I had a Gullible Thought.
Just Do What I Can for Others
Without Asking for Anything in Return.
Yet Just Not Too Long Ago.
I had Another Thought.
I Can't Do What I Can For Others
Without Asking for Anything in Return.
I Want Something In Return.
To tell me I am doing right.
To tell me that it is all worthwhile.
To tell me to keep going.
All I want in return:
Appreciation.

Hell yeah dreaming_firefly I am so learning this lesson also..
Also if you are constantly giving to others and they only learn to take from you you just get taken advantage of and walked all over like a doormat. Its a form of manipulation. I'm still looking for the balance of boundaries. Its seems nice people pay for helping others..sad but true. Yet we still must give or everyone will just give up!..Only thing is I find whenever I do speak up to that person taking advantage of me they will just tear into you on the defensive and out of guilt so they don't have to carry their "stuff" and throw it back at you trying to make you feel bad about yourself. Many people are real good at this too in this life that we live in. Its not easy for sure..Where is the balance of getting some help love and support and getting some of this back also? So far I haven't found it myself..still "looking'..but still "believe"..
I know what I need but it doesn't necessarily mean I will get it thats for sure! Oh check out my most recent blog maybe you might find it helpful maybe not who knows?..:)

What you have said is soo true.
You know, after some time,
I start to feel demoralised and get tired of showing care and concern.
I think to myself sometimes:
"Do not take it as I am not obliged to do this for you. I could have used my time on something/someone more worthwhile."
Ya, I am still searching for the point of balance.
To be honest, I stop "believing" sometimes. Your words make me want to "try believing" again.

Yet for other things, even if we are given a chance to choose, we may not make a good one.

Yes..thats right, we are as humans very vulnerable to making wrong choices. Some learn from it, others regret. At times i've stopped by and was glad to find; i did not have a choice...

my son told me they took the word "gullible" out of the dictionary, he's always deepening my appreciation for light-hearted goofs, but like you I have heavy thoughts to shead . .I can tell spring will bring (you) many butterflies!
It is amazing how people around us trigger certain thoughts in us. Sometimes, even a little kid can bring much reflection.
